Vacancy: Deputy Manager & SENCO

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 4.30pm. Friday 8.30am to 12.30pm (Flexible to some extent)

Start Date: Autumn Term 2021

Description: We are looking for a deputy who is an experienced SENCO.


The Deputy Manager's main role is to support the Manager in all aspects of preschool matters. They must be up to date with all Policies and Procedures, the Job Description of the Manager and all other staff, and must be able to manage the nursery is the absence of the Manager. They must work as part of the Staff Team and liaise between the Staff and the Manager. 


The Deputy must work with the Manager to ensure the nursery complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework. They must ensure good practice as set out in the EYFS Practice Guidance and they must ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, for example, Health and Safety Law and Employment Law.


A full and relevant Level 3 qualification as defined by the Children’s Workforce Development Council, satisfactory relevant references, and satisfactory disclosure check are required


No experience of being a deputy is necessary however you must be an experienced SENCO and willing to take on the deputy duties.


This is a permanent, starting as soon as practicably possible.

Vacancy: 1-2-1 SEN Assistant

Contract Type: Temporary for one year, Term Time

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am to 12pm. (Flexible to some extent)

Start Date: September 2021

Salary: TBC


Description: We are looking for someone to support and assist in meeting the educational, physical and social needs of a child with SEN.


You will be required to work directly with the child on an individual basis in the preschool, to support in fulfilling the objectives and meeting the requirements set in the pupil’s individual education and care plan. Also undertaking any other reasonable tasks identified by the manager. You will be expected to supervise the child in the preschool and garden, to keep them and the other children safe.


This is a temporary position for one year, starting in September 2021 and ending when the child leaves the preschool, expected to be July 2022.
